Qatar Police Series

I found these videos on YouTube which reminds me of COPS series in America minus the crack heads. A camera man rides along with the Qatari police showing what they encounter during their shift.

The first video shows them stopping a guy because he is wearing a police uniform shirt and isn't carrying his ID.
The second video shows the police using undercover guys to find the people who use their personal cars as taxis. Qatar has it's own taxi system named Karwa, which are the turquoise cars shown in the video as well as limo companies. I admit I took an illegal taxi when we left the mall while I was visiting Qatar, in Kuwait it is total chaos as anyone can be a taxi driver, no meters, no tracking.
I enjoyed my visit to Qatar last year and can't wait to go again. The people are friendly and actually smile. There are many things to do and I plan on checking out the desert safari.

3D Lipo Kuwait

A lot of people are scared of surgery, I am one of them. I have hypothyroidism which makes it hard to lose weight in stubborn areas. I saw 3D Lipo on an IG account and have gone for two sessions so far. Their location is in Kuwait City across from the Behbehani building. When you first enter it's a bright, clean office and the staff are really nice.

You will have a session with a doctor on what you want and she will take your vitals. You can start the session right away if there aren't any appointments, I decided to come the following day. The first session I lost three inches, as of the second session I'm down six inches. The third session introduces you to the cryogenic phase of freezing the fat which has a longer lasting impact.
The room is very clean and Patchi is a really sweet former ER nurse who will be straight with you. She will let you know if the procedure will work or if you're wasting your time. The first procedures consist of breaking up the fat areas and tightening which lasts for an hour.

It's a quick and easy process, the down side is it is rather expensive and I don't know how long the results will last. After spending this amount of money I plan on keeping up the high protein diet and trying to fit in some exercise when time permits. Anyone who has hypothyroidism knows how difficult it is to keep the weight off and normal people don't understand.

Boulevard Park

The previous post was at night so here is a view of the park in the day time and it is beautiful. There is a long path for walking/running, two tunnels that have dancing lights inside, streams, ponds and a few play areas.

The picture above is a special area dedicated to people in wheel chairs which is awesome considering there are very few places catering to the handicapped even though there are many disabled people in Kuwait. Warning: don't sit on the grass, unfortunately there aren't many benches to sit on and if you try to sit on the grass the security will yell at you to get off.

Food Bank at Saveco

While visiting the new Saveco in Qurain I saw this food bank display where you purchase bags of food to be donated to the needy.

Once you've paid for the food bag you put it in the collection bin, I donated one of the 2 KD bags, I wish I knew where the food was distributed but I did my part and I hope any of those visiting Saveco will do their part as well.

American soldier commits suicide on Arifjan

Americans in the news:

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12, (AFP): An American soldier stationed in Kuwait shot and killed himself on Thursday at a US military base, the interior ministry said. The ministry said in a statement on Twitter that the soldier, who was not named, used his personal gun to kill himself while on duty. The Pentagon confirmed the death of a US soldier in a “non-combat related incident” in Kuwait, without elaborating. The interior ministry said the soldier was rushed to a public hospital in southern Kuwait but was pronounced dead on arrival. Several thousand American soldiers are stationed at Camp Arifjan, a military base about 70 kms (43 miles) south of Kuwait City.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: A female US citizen, believed to be in her 40s, has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station accusing a European orthopediatrician working for a private hospital of molesting her, reports Al-Anba daily. In her complaint, the woman told police she is suffering from pain in her legs and the doctor taking advantage of the absence of the nurse touched her private parts.

Health Stop Cafe & Grill

Since I'm back on my protein diet a friend suggested we stop and have dinner at this place. Normally I would not have visited because I know these little off the wall Kuwaiti made places are super expensive but I decided not to argue and try it.

Well, the above picture is what I got for 3.550 KD! Let's see, a bag of 1 kilo chicken breasts cost .990 fils and a handful of green beans can't be much, this is the exact reason why I don't give into the hype. They did have a lot of delivery items going out the door so some people are supporting the business.
