Wataniya Internet service Sucks!

You would think with all of the money Wataniya gets the company should be able to provide decent internet service for 25 KD a month. Yah right I can't even get the service to stay on long enough to write anything. Try using it after 7 p.m. and you will want to throw your computer out of the window. Back in 2004 I could understand the crappy service because more people were moving out to this side of Kuwait and there weren't any towers.

But it's now 2011 and the service sucks even more. For 25 KD a month which is considered the top service I can barely use it. I try using it at 5 a.m. before work and it is useless. My next step will probably be getting the wireless for Quality net or something better than Wataniya. I'm hoping for a Ramadaan special from Q net.

Wataniya take some of the billions of KD you make and put up a few more towers and give customers the service they deserve instead of robbing the people and when we call to complain we get some lame story from the reps. Step up Wataniya!

  1. well i can recommend viva been using it for a year now no issue other than the 2 GB cap forced on the link i am fine i use it for browsing mainly and for ISP i would recommend Fasttelco been with them for 7 years i have no issue and even with all the cap complains these days my linked wasn't cap good luck with fixing your internet issues

  2. Some say that LAN is the best service all over Kuwait. A telephone hard line is needed. Being a housewife-internet-addicted I can tell you that from 8.00 a.m. till 2.00 p.m. there is a reasonable service (wataniya, viva, zain all are the same) qualitynet it's more reliable though. Once people is coming back from work (from 3.00 p.m. and on) there is no way one can be online. Btw, this from Sundays to Thursdays, weekend is as bad as later hours. And yes, it doesn't matter if you log in at 2.00 a.m. in fact 3.00 a.m. is the worst time to be connected.

  3. You can say the same about NBK, and really almost everything else. I tried Viva and it is not bad at all.

I signed a data plan with them on 12 April 2014 and the router stopped working on 16 April 2014!! Went back to the sales office where I signed the contract they refused to help and referred me to Technical staff at Olympia mall. Went to mall they fixed the router and a day later it stopped working AGAIN. Opened a ticket with VIVA customer service and they referred me to technical staff. Spent 40 mins on the phone talking to various technical people and the end result go to the Olympia mall.
In a nutshell I made a BIG mistake signing with VIVA, WHY:
    - Faulty routers
    - Sales people don't care after the contract is signed
    - Customer services at 102 give you run around
    - Technical staff at 102 are incompetent and clueless
    - Ultimate solution for anything & everything go to Olympia Mall
To get out of the contract I have to pay more money; IMAGINE THAT!!!!
People please think hard before doing business with these VIVA people!!!!
