Expats arrested for tutoring in coffee Shop

KUWAIT: Thirteen expatriate teachers were arrested while giving private tuition illegally at a coffee shop, labor inspectors said yesterday. They include eight working for the private sector, four working in public schools and one on a dependent visa, said Mohammed Al-Thufairi, Head of the Manpower Public Authority’s inspection team.

They were arrested during a crackdown carried out as per instructions of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al- Subaih and in collaboration with the Interior Ministry’s residency affairs detectives, Thufairi added.
