Hotel Missoni Kuwait says Goodbye

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group ends partnership with Italian fashion house Missoni
As they say, all good things must come to an end, this is the case for Hotel Missoni in Kuwait and the UK. I just read the news from Kuwaitiful and I was a little shocked as it's one of the popular fufu hotels in Kuwait.

With a little research I found out why:
"Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and Italian fashion house Missoni have agreed to terminate their worldwide master license agreement for the development and operation of the Hotel Missoni brand. As part of the termination the hotel group's two current properties, Hotel Missoni Edinburgh in UK and Hotel Missoni Kuwait will be re-branded by  June 30, 2014 at the latest"link
According to Kuwaitiful the new name is Symphony Style Hotel, not as catchy but this happens all the time here. When someone loses their license they must change the name, the last one I know of is Buffalo's as the license is now owned by a Qatari. I'm sure all traces of Missoni will be wiped out as they are labeling it an 'upgrade' which means they will be starting all over.  It sucks for Oman, Qatar, Turkey, Brazil and Mauritius who were supposed to be building their own Missoni Hotels. If you Google Hotel Missoni Kuwait the new name comes up with 'former Hotel Missoni' attached to it.
