Al Shaya- IHOP increases their Prices

Pancakes were calling my name the other night so I stopped by the Jabriya location and was shocked to see that once again the prices have increased. My usual Big Steak Omlette went from 3.750 KD to 4.950 KD. No more regular Lipton ice tea, only something made from a mix and no refills. The sides went from .750 fils to 1.250 KD as well. Here is a link to the old menu prices.

Maybe Al Shaya company needs more money to pay for the new phase they are building.

  1. Hello!

I'm contacting you from IHOP's marketing team.

The menu you’re referencing is from 3 menus previous to the current.
At that point omelettes did not include a stack of 3 pancakes. Now they do.
You’ll see a photo of the price of the Big Steak Omelette on the menu just prior to the current one is priced at KD 4.450
The price actually increased KD 0.300
Other key ingredients have seen cost price increases of up to 35% this year.
Price increases are a natural consequence of cost recovery in any business.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

    Best Regards,
    Jassem Al-Quallaf - Marketing IHOP

    1. Thank you for your response, while I understand the increase, it is however surprising to see that the company has changed menus 4 times since the opening. Yes, the old menu states toast is included, so in order to add 3 pancakes it costs the customer an additional 1.250 KD? That is the same as adding a side to the dish not included them as a meal. Does your company also take into consideration the wasted amount spent on straws that are given with each refill? I find it environmentally unfriendly, I would think a company might ward off the increases by cutting erroneous spending.
