Family day at Mubarakiya

I don't see Kuwait having a winter this year unlike last year at this time it was freezing cold and raining. But the weather is cool enough to enjoy the outdoors and Mubarakiya is a great place to spend the day.

First stop was grilled lunch with hummous, salad and fresh Irani bread.

Next stop wandering the fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, these tiny apples were so cute I had to take a picture.

Plaque next to the museum in the center of the market area
Bisht for females, these were made of felt, they were charging 30 KD which is kind of expensive considering it is Mubarakiya. Gone are the days of bargaining and cheap prices.
These fancy ones were 15 KD

 For all you neon lovers
 My favorite pots

The newest craze seems to be everyone going back to the past and here are tea pots with matching grills to heat it up.
The whole matching set
What's left of the original old market

One old building barely hanging on
Original building materials of early Kuwait

Cute dress ideas for the price of 45 KD

I wish someone would save that crumbling old building since there are few old structures remaining in Kuwait.
